Get To Know ATL Artist Marlé Blu

Marlé is a songwriter/artist who was born in Austin, Texas and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. She moved to Atlanta after high school to attend Georgia State University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Sociology. As a child, Marlé Blu spent a lot of time writing short stories and poetry. She loved to tap into her imagination and come up with creative plots. In middle school, at age 12, she began turning her poetry into raps. Her hobby for rhyming words became a love for writing lyrics and making music. As an 8th grade student, Marlé Blu was a regular call in on the freestyle radio show entitled "Who Got The Flava" hosted by Dj Skillz on 97.9 WIBB.

Marlé Blu was the winner of the "Lyricist of the Year Award" at the Atlanta Hip Hop Awards, winner of the "Encore 3" talent contest (which was hosted by Hoodrich's Dj Scream) and was the recipient of the Hot Block Magazine Award Show's Female Rap Artist award.

Currently, Marlé Blu is the voiceover actress for Lauren the Ladybug on the "85 South Show Presents: The Roach Motel". Her latest single "Take Yo" (featured on the Good Vibes Only Vol 1 compilation) is on all digital streaming platforms and its visually compelling yet comical new video is available on Youtube as well. "Bathroom", another single of hers (which is also featured on the GVO compilation) is currently out on all platforms as well as the visual on Youtube.
