On May 18, 2025 Southern Plug Magazine packed up and left out for the Southern Entertainment Awards in Atlanta, GA. They interacted & and interviewed artists from all over the southern sea board as an official media sponsor of the show. Southern Plug founder Darren "Southern Plug" Brown hit the stage to present five awards as apart of the show. At approximately 7:50pm Darren "Southern Plug" Brown got back to his seat just to hear his brand named called as the winner for Author/Publication of the Year.
